Rules For Making Contributions

1. These are the rules For Making Contributions on websites and online services owned or operated by RH Environmental Limited (hereinafter referred to as “RHE”), this includes Ask the Expert Question and Answer Forums and Blogs, Best Practice Forums, RIAMS Forums, RIAMS Shared Best Practice, The International Housing and Health Research Bulletin and any other similar services offered by RH Environmental Limited. RIAMS means “Regulatory Information and Management Systems” as offered in the UK and other territories worldwide.

These Services are subject to the RHE Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and to these Rules as set out in this document/page (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”). The Rules govern how you may make your contribution and how RHE may use your contribution. Your contribution may include text, documents, publications, files, photographs, graphics, video, audio or any other format or media.

5. You must not submit or send content to RHE or RHE websites or RHE Online Services that:

6. Copyright law exists to stop someone from taking another person's work and passing it off as their own. It applies to the internet in the same way as it does to TV, books and the press. Breaking copyright law can result in being taken to court. Please do not post large chunks of text copied from other sources as this may be an infringement of copyright. Short quotes to illustrate a point may be permissible, although this is at our discretion.

7. You must not post a contribution containing viruses or malware. All contributions that could include a virus or malware must be checked using up to date antivirus and malware software to detect and remove all such code prior to uploading the contribution onto one of our websites.

Guidelines for Making Contributions

11. A contribution means making a comment, asking a question, responding to a question or request for information, uploading documents and/or images and other media including visual and audio content and any other normal use of the RHE websites and online services. If you submit your contribution to RHE you must allow RHE to use the material in your contribution in any way it may reasonably choose on a free-of-charge basis in any media throughout the world. Any contributions you make may be moderated by RHE, which means they may be reviewed, edited and/or removed. RHE reserves the right to remove any of your contributions if RHE believes that they do not comply with the RHE Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and the Rules.

12. You grant RHE the right to change or edit the materials in your contribution for operational and editorial reasons. RHE may also share your contribution with trusted third parties, for instance with other users of RHE websites and Online Services.

13. Any copyright in your contribution will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material you contribute in any way including allowing others to use it.

14. You confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory or unlawful and does not infringe anyone else's rights (including privacy rights) and that it complies with the RHE Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You also confirm that whether or not your contribution is made in your personal or business or employment capacity, that such contribution does not unfairly promote or further any business activities and has not been contributed for commercial gain. You also confirm that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 16.

15. We normally display your name, organisation or employment status with your contribution, the region and country in which you have registered when signing into our website services.

16. RHE may need to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your contribution, or in relation to particular projects.

17. Please do not endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or break any laws when creating any content you may share with RHE.

18. As part of your contribution, RHE may ask you to provide some personal information. Disclosure of this information shall be subject to terms set out in the RHE Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and will keep your personal information secure and will only use it for the purposes specified in the RHE Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. All personal information held by the RHE will be held in accordance with UK data protection laws.

19. If you do not want to grant RHE permission to use your contributions in accordance with the RHE Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and these Rules, please do not make a contribution or in any way share with RHE or submit them to RHE websites or RHE online services.
